How long.....?

I am not sure how much longer our blog site is going to be operational. We have been extremely busy and we have also had multiple health issues and a loss in our extended family. I did receive an email saying something about a blog site being discontinued and since this is the only site we are on, I am assuming it was referring to this one. Unfortunately, because of the chaos, that is my life at the moment, I did not read the email carefully enough to know for sure.
I will continue to 'blog' on this site, as long as I am able. If it is discontinued, we will add a 'mini-blog' to our official website,

My Art

I watched a program the other night about Vincent Van Gogh, a most remarkable artist. According to the program, Vincent strived throughout his artistic life to gain the 'approval' of one artist, Paul Gaugin. He never really got it during his lifetime and yet, after his death, Gaugin sought to obtain the famous 'Sunflowers' painting that Van Gogh is best know for creating.
I thought, "how sad, to spend so much of one's life trying to gain the approval of another, for one's artistic endeavors."
And yet, it is something every artist does, if our work is for sale to the highest bidder.

It's Become a Weekly Thing....

Once a week, almost like clockwork lately, I log on to this blogsite and spend a few minutes putting my thoughts and whatever it is that concerns me about the prior week onto paper. I am not sure why, but it is a lot like I imagine going to therapy would be. As long as it continues to work, I will continue to 'visit' weekly.

We are, I hope, at the halfway point in Patrick E's chemo and radiation therapy. He has done very well to this point. He has his good days and his bad, but overall we are both very pleased with how the treatments have gone thus far and how well he has endured it, to date.

Our listings, his and mine, have suffered quite a bit this past month as a result of the treatments and all that goes with them. Thank goodness for the rest of the family artisans or we might be quite barren on our site by now.

So, there are my thoughts....until next week----
